Lying Ned Lamont, Tolls & The Cantillon Effect. [State, CT] Lamont10

Boy, it didn't take long did it?

I know, what did I expect?
Ya, but I figured I'd get  18 months to two before we'd get the "it's worse than I expected speech."
It only took 2 months.
They're getting more brazen and brazen.
That's what you get living in a Democrat run state.

Now, as the Baby Boomer Dems get older, they move out of the state to low tax states like New Hampshire and Florida bringing their statist big government politics with them.  By the time we get our chance to escape there, they've already voted up the taxes!

Why is it that we seem not to understand that government can NOT tax it's way into prosperity.
Why is that?
It's like trying to lift a bucket you are standing in.
The state cannot create wealth.
It cannot create wealth without destroying it first.
For government to give, it must first take.
For every dollar in benefits, it must take at least a dollar from a taxpayer.
This is a zero sum gain.
There is NO gain here.

All that is done is that some are benefited at the expense of someone else.
The government simply picks winners and losers.
The government simply transfers wealth.
The government takes from some, to whom it belongs in order to give to others, to whom it doesn't belong.
This is not generosity or benevolence, it is simply force and theft and playing favorites.

Those who win in this game are usually those closest to power and the cities, not workers and not commuters.
The farther you live outside the cities and center of power, the less you benefit and the more things cost.
This is called the Cantillon effect.
Look it up.  Google it.
Cantillon Effect Here.

This phenomenom is described here;
The so-called Cantillon effect describes the uneven expansion of the amount of money. If a central bank pumps more money into the economy, the resulting increase in prices does not happen evenly. The Austrian economist Friedrich August von Hayek compared this monetary expansion with honey. If you pour honey into a cup, it won’t spread out evenly. It will clump in the middle of the cup first before spreading out.
Same with money: in case of a monetary expansion, the ones who profit from it are the ones who are close to the money. “Close to the money” in this case means everyone who can access the money right at the beginning, i.e. big companies, banks, etc. They get loans and make investments. Prices then start to rise even though the rest of the population has not received any of the new money yet. This part of the population usually is not the one with too much money. Nonetheless, they have to pay the higher prices even though they have not profited from the increase in money at all. And they will never profit from it in the same way as the ones who received the money first. The result is a redistribution from the poor to the rich.

While this works with central banks, it also works the same way with governments on either a national scale or a local one.

Big gubby statist politicians like Lamont are effectively just transferring wealth from the rural areas and suburbs into the cities where they and their constituents rule.  Sure some don't, but most either live there or work there or have government job.  All in all, it's really the same thing.

That is what regionalization and car tolls are all about.
These things punish those who live farther away from the hubs of power and the cities.
These laws and taxing policies take wealth from those who live farther away from the hubs of power.
These laws and taxes are simply a transfer of wealth from you to them.

Please, do not argue that they or the state need the money.  They don't.  CT has the 2nd highest, by 1/10th of a percentage point, combined income-sales tax in the nation.   New York is 12.7%, CT is 12.6%.  CT has the 6th highest tax burden in the state.  Depending on how you want to figure it, there are at least 45 states that do with less than us.

CT does NOT have a revenue problem.  It simply has a spending problem, more precisely, an arrogant and lying politician problem.

They will take and spend all the money that we send in to them.

Notice how Ned does NOT talk about all the revenue that is sure to flood in from the legalization of both pot and online gaming?

No, it is not about revenue, it is about everything they can take from those who don't vote for them.
